Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recovered a huge amount of money, including local and foreign currencies worth around Tk 3.11 crore from two apartments in the capital’s Mohammadpur area on Friday.
Based on a tip-off, a team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a raid and recovered the currencies from the houses numbered 29/2 and 29/3 of F Block of Babar Road under Mohammadpur police station.
According to DMP, it recovered around Tk 3,01,10,166 in cash, prize bonds worth Tk 74,400 and different foreign currencies including US and Singapore dollars worth Tk 10,03,306.
