RAB-7 recovered 21 firearms and 275 rounds looted from different police stations of the city. Till Tuesday (August 13) these arms and ammunition were recovered from local people and other sources.
According to RAB-7 sources, miscreants ransacked, set fire and looted various police stations of Chattagram Metropolitan Police on the eve of the victory celebration of the students on August 5. Firearms, ammunition and various tools were looted from the police stations in the looting incident.
Looted arms and ammunition pose a threat to the security of Chattagram metropolis. At the same time, aware citizens are urged to help by providing information about the looted arms and ammunition.
Sharif-ul-Alam, senior assistant director of RAB-7, said intelligence surveillance was increased to recover looted weapons, ammunition and equipment from the police station.
Common citizens responded to this. 21 different types of firearms and 275 rounds of ammunition were recovered from local people and other sources till 13 August. He also said that among the recovered weapons are SMG, China rifle, BD rifle, short gun, pistol and gas gun.
