Dr Wahiduddin, Ali Imam, Fouzul Kabir to be advisers

The interim government has set to include three more advisers who will be sworn in on Friday, a source from Bangabhaban confirmed.

The probable advisers are economist Wahiduddin Mahmud, former cabinet secretary Ali Imam Mazumder and former secretary Fouzul Kabir Khan, according to a source from Bangabhaban, the ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow.

Besides, name of a former Army official also is being heard as adviser. But his inclusion could not be confirmed yet.

Following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government amid a student-led mass uprising on August 5, an interim government was formed with Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser on August 8. Currently, the interim government comprises 17 members, including the chief adviser.

Sources from the Department of Government Transport mentioned they have been instructed to prepare five vehicles, although the exact number of new advisers remains undisclosed.

Typically, extra vehicles are readied for such events, making it challenging to determine the number of new advisers based solely on the number of cars prepared.

The chief adviser, Professor Yunus, oversees about 24 ministries and departments, including the Cabinet Division, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Ministry of Food, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Public Administration, and Ministry of Commerce.
