Bangladesh HP team defeat Australian Capital Territory

Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team defeated Australian Capital Territory (ACT) team by six wickets in a T20 cricket match on Thursday at TIO Stadium in Darwin of Australia.

Batting first, Australian Capital Territory scored 124 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh HP team romped home making 125 for the loss of four wickets when they had 20 balls to spare.

Bangladesh made a solid start as their openers Tanzid Hasan and Jishan Alam put on together 51 runs in the opening stand before Tanzid Hasan was dismissed by Jake Smith.

After Tanzid Hasan’s dismissal, Jishan Alam and Parvez Hossain Emon built another notable partnership scoring together 44 runs in the second wicket stand before Parvez Hossain Emon was caught behind by wicketkeeper Zac Maron off Hanno Jacobs when Bangladesh’s score was 95 for the loss of two wickets.

After Parvez Hossain’s departure, Jishan Alam could stay at the crease for a short period as he was dismissed by Jake Smith when Bangladesh’s total was 106 for the loss of three wickets.

Jishan Alam cracked a windy 50. His 36-ball innings was belted with two sixes and a four. Jishan Alam was adjudged the Man of the Match for his superb innings.

After Jishan’s departure, Afif Hossain was dismissed by Esam Rahman when Bangladesh’s score was 122 for the loss of four wickets.

Then Akbar Ali and Shamim Hasan played the key role to anchor the winning spot.
Parvez Hossain made 23 from 24 deliveries featuring one sixer.
Tanzid Hasan scored 18 from 15 fours including two fours.
Jake Smith captured two wickets in the space of 29 runs, while Hanno Jacob’s and Esam Rahman took one wicket apiece.

Ripon Mondol, Abu Hider, Rakibul Hasan and Mahfuzur Rahman powered their team to restrict Australian Capitals for a paltry total.
Ripon Mondol grabbed three wickets instead of 26 runs, while Abu Hider bagged two wickets at the cost of 26 runs.

Rakibul Hasan and Mahfuzur Rahman took one wicket each.
Mikey McNamara top-scored with 36 runs. His 26 balls innings was belted with three fours and a sixer.
Besides, Scott Murn, Tyler Hays and Zac Maron scored 20, 15 (not out) and 14 runs respectively.
