NN Online Report:
In a significant development for travelers, Pakistan has announced visa-free entry for citizens of 126 countries, including Bangladesh. This new policy allows travelers from these nations to obtain an e-visa free of charge. The process is streamlined, requiring only a simple online application with 30 questions to be completed within 24 hours.
The announcement was made by Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaulah Tarar, at a press conference on August 14, 2024. He stated that from this date onward, the visa fee for electronic visas (e-visas) for visitors from the 126 countries has been abolished. Travelers can now apply for a 90-day visa for both tourism and business purposes without any cost.
Additionally, citizens from Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar, can now obtain a visa on arrival in Pakistan by simply presenting their passports. This move is expected to facilitate easier travel and strengthen business and tourism ties between Pakistan and these countries.
