Effigy burnt demanding resignation of SAU VC

The anti-discrimination students burnt the effigy of Sylhet Agricultural University’s corrupt VC Jamal, demanding the resignation of the corrupt VC, despite the 24-hour ultimatum to resign.
On Monday (August 12) morning, anti-discrimination students forced them to leave the campus when those involved in recruitment business, nepotism and corruption led by the corrupt VC’s second registrar Badrul Islam Shoaib. Shoaib and his accomplices fled from the campus when the angry students chased them.
At that time, the protesting students said that the registrar in collusion with the VC has created an arena of corruption in this university. Despite his lack of qualifications for the post of registrar, he was appointed to this university through influence and was criticized for appointing his own people to various positions without qualifications through tendering. At one point, anti-discrimination students locked down the administration building and the academic building. Meanwhile, they burnt the effigy of Jamal, the son of corruption and nepotism.
