Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Thursday visited Dhakeswary temple and exchanged the views with the hindu religious leaders there.
He assured the hindu religious leaders that Jamaat will stay beside them if they feel unsafe.
“Not only the temples we will stand beside those who feel unsecured, unsafe in this turmoil situation,” Jamaat Ameer said while addressing the hindu religious leaders in the temple premises.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that he have called his party’s leaders and activists as well the countrymen to stand beside those who become victimize by the miscreants as the autocrat regime fall. He said, “It is our responsibility as human to stand beside the people who become victimize by any anarchists and miscreants.”
Jamaat central leaders Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Rafiqul Islam Khan and Nurul Islam Bulbul among others were present in the event. Besides, Central puja celebration committee President Sree Basudeb Dhar, religious leaders Joyanto Kumar Deb, Gobinda Kumar Pramanik, Dr. Tapash pal, CR Majumder and Shuvasish Biswas, among others were present. Hindu leaders welcomed Jamaat Ameer with flowers during his visit.
On the other hand, Feni district Jamaat has announced financial assistance for the families of students who were killed during the quota reform movement.
“Tk 1 lakh will be given to each martyr’s family,” said AKM Shamsuddin, Ameer of the Feni District Jamaat unit, during a press conference at the Feni Press Club on Thursday afternoon.
Shamsuddin highlighted the sacrifices made by these students, which he believed have significantly contributed to the nation’s current situation. “We will always remember their sacrifice,” he said.
