Protests against quota spread across Barishal

Anti-quota movement has spreaded in different areas of Barishal city and region amid adverse weather of rainy season. The road communication between Barishal and various districts including Dhaka was stopped from on Saturday.
A protest march of students of Government BM College in Barishal rushed to the Nathullabad central bus terminal of the city at about 12: 00 noon and stopped road communication on the highway.
At 1.30 PM, the agitated students of Barishal Government Syed Hatim Ali College in blocked the Nabogram road chowmatha area of the city and blocked the road connecting highway for two hours amid rain. The agitated students chanting slogans said that they will not return home unless their 9-point demand is met.
Besides, protesting students vandalized a traffic police box and an APBN truck supplying lunch for police in Chowmatha area of Barishal city on Saturday at 2.30 PM. Eyewitnesses said that as soon as the vehicle of Arms Police Battalion with food for their launch arrived at the police box, the agitators attacked them. During this time they also vandalized the Birmuktijodha Sultan Mridha police box and attacked 4 APBN policemen on the truck
