Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Due to the violence happening across the country, the shooting of dramas and movies has stopped. Artistes and directors are under house arrest for the past few days. Slowly the situation is coming back to normal. Artistes are also waiting for that.
They are ready to prepare their new works.
New work must be done: Chanchal Chowdhury “I have been under house arrest for almost a week. Sitting at home is spending time in anxiety. Waking up in the morning and reading the newspaper, turning on television, and watching television till night; also spending time with son. There is no Internet, so I sit and watching the movies that were downloaded on the computer with my family. When I feel bored, drawing pictures on the i-pad. Any situation has to be faced with patience. So, I was patient. So, I was patient. I may not be able to follow social media, I can’t watch movies that much, but those who work on the Internet, their suffering must have been much more.”
“Looks good, finally got a nice solution. The situation is coming back to normal. Among the works that I had in my work, the situation is coming back to normal. In the meantime, the works that I had scheduled have been cancelled. If the situation is normal, the work will be done again. That’s how I mentally prepare. My acted movie ‘Padatik’ will be released on August 15 in Kolkata. The movie was supposed to be released in Bangladesh as well, but due to the current situation, the release date cannot be announced in this country. The release date of the movie will be announced only if the situation is normal. I have scheduled to go to Kolkata next week to participate in the promotion of the movie ‘Padatik’. I will return to the country after the release of the movie there. That’s how I prepare,” Chanchal also said.
I pray that everything will be normal soon: Zakia Bari Mamo
“I have not been able to sleep properly for the past week. I am confined at home. No Internet. My time is spent in worry and anxiety all the time. I am watching news on TV channels all day, reading newspapers, and trying to know the situation of the country. In fact, none of us are good at this unstable time of the country. I already work less. If I don’t like it, say ‘no’ to the director. After a long time, I have planned a schedule for 10 consecutive days for two dramas and a web movie. The shooting was supposed to take place in Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar. But due to the ongoing situation in the country, it had to be cancelled. First of all my country, the people of the country. If they are not good, then what shooting. Praying, let everything be normal soon. Let peace return to the people of the country.”
With more time, when everything calms down, I will return to work: Nirab Hossain “I was out of the country for professional work. Sitting there listening to the news of the country, I spent the day in great anxiety. I returned home on July 21. Now I am spending time sitting at home. I think, apart from announcing a nice verdict on the quota issue, the way the government is controlling the violence with a firm hand is bringing the whole thing under control. It was necessary. Surely the situation will be normal within two days. Everyone will return to a more normal life, I am waiting for that.”
“From July 23, we were shooting for the movie ‘Operation Jackpot’. That’s not going to happen. A few more movies are scheduled to be shot, whether they can be done on time, I can’t say right now. But I think, with more time, we should return to work only when everything calms down. That’s how I mentally prepare,” Nirab also said.
