Late famous film actress Kabori started directing a movie titled ‘Ei Tumi Sei Tumi’ on March 17 in 2020. A few days after the start of shooting, the entire country came to a standstill due to the Corona situation.
Due to the Corona virus, where many people had stopped the shooting of the movie, Kabori walked the opposite way. Ignoring the fear of Corona, she continued to work on the movie. However, the actress passed away on April 17, 2021 before finishing the shooting of the entire movie.
After Kabori’s death, the work of the movie stopped. At one point, her son Shaker Chishti took over the responsibility of completing Kabori’s last movie.
Two years ago, Shaker Chishti announced that he wanted to show his mother’s movie to the audience. The shooting of the movie is finally over. Shaker Chishti himself confirmed the matter. He said that next year Eid-ul-Fitr is planning to release the movie ‘Ei Tumi Sei Tumi’. While talking in this regard, Shaker Chishti told this correspondent, “Ammu (my mother) wanted to release the movie hurriedly. So, she was shooting during Corona pandemic. But she died with two days of shooting left. I wanted to finish the shooting of the movie long ago. But it is a little late to start work due to various complications. Moreover, I did the work with a little time. I have almost finished the movie. Now I am planning to release the movie next Eid.”
The film ‘Ei Tumi Sei Tumi’, which received a grant in the financial year 2018-2019, featured two times. Along with the present time, the great Liberation War period has been highlighted in the story of the movie. There is also a love story of two pairs of people.
Kabori returned to film direction after 14 years with the movie ‘Ei Tumi Sei Tumi’.
Before this, her directed first movie titled ‘Ayna’ was released in 2005. Nishat Nawar Salwa and Raihan Riad have acted together in the movie ‘Ei Tumi Sei Tumi’. Kabori acted in this movie as well as giving direction. Kabori also wrote the song for the movie. It was the only movie song written by her. The song was sung by Imran and Konal. Noted singer Sabina Yasmin worked with Kabori as music director in the movie.
Besides directing, Kabori also wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues of the movie.
