The Ministry of Education has announced the closure of all secondary and higher secondary educational institutions, including polytechnic institutes, until further notice.
This decision was communicated in a press release issued on Tuesday, by the Ministry of Education. The announcement stated that the decision was made considering the safety of school and college students.
In recent days, protests demanding the reform of the quota system in government jobs have led to violent clashes in various parts of the country. As a result, six people were killed in clashes yesterday in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rangpur.
The Ministry emphasized that the safety and security of students is a top priority, and the closure will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes and further instructions are provided.
