Janata Jute Mills Ltd, a concern of AkijBashir Group, is set to disburse salary of its 9,000 workers through bKash’s payroll solution.
Regarding this, an agreement was signed between bKash and AkijBashir Group, which allows the workers to receive salaries directly on their bKash accounts without waiting in queue.
Ali Ahmmed, chief commercial officer of bKash and Helal Ahmed, chief operations officer of AkijBashir Group signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
The agreement signing was held at bKash headquarters in the capital where bKash’s head of business sales Masrur Chowdhury, general manager (business sales) Md Somel Reza Khan, AkijBashir Group’s director – group HR Dilruba Sharmin Khan, senior general manager Abduhu Sufi, among others were also present.
AkijBashir Group has businesses in different sectors including ceramics, sanitary & bath ware, plastic, particle board, jute, steel, tea, etc.
Using bKash’s payroll solution, the overall salary disbursement process will become easier and cost-effective for the group as they can avoid hassle of handling cash money.
On the other hand, getting salary digitally in own bKash account, workers would be able to access necessary financial services like digital loans, savings, insurance etc. of banks and financial institutions at bKash’s platform.
Besides, they can also avail various services including mobile recharge, send money, merchant payment, pay utility bills, paying fees of educational and government institutions, buy bus-train-launch tickets, etc.
