Dr Priyanka Gope new Chairman of DU Music Deptt

Dr Priyanka Gope, National Film Award winning multi-talented singer, is an Associate Professor of Music Department of Dhaka University. On July 1, she assumed responsibility
as the Chairman of the Music Department for the next three years.
All the students of the Music Department are very happy in this regard. Dr Priyanka Gope is also very excited to get her responsibility.
While sharing her feelings in this regard, Priyanka Gope told this correspondent, “Just a few days ago, I got the responsibility as Chairman.
I understand that I have to do a lot of work, a lot
of responsibilities. Everyone in the department expects a little more about me. The expectation is that I do something that sets an example for the department. I will try my best to do well for my department so that it is exemplary. I wish the cooperation of all professors, associate professors, assistant professors, lecturers so that I can do something good for the Music Department.”
Priyanka Gope informed that in addition to performing the duties of the department, she will also be busy with music regularly.
Already in Savar, Priyanka participated in the music video of a new song. Rafi has made the music video of this song as a duet with Tanvir Daud Rony to the tune of Yousuf Ahmed Khan.
Priyanka also said that she is going to sing another new song about ‘Brishti’ (rain). The song is written by Rajibul Hasan, composed by Sonali Roy. Priyanka will give her voice to this song soon.
Dr Priyanka Gop is a unique talented musician in the music scene of Bangladesh. She is very popular with those who are especially interested
in listening to different genres of music, especially classical music.
Also, a new modern song has already been released that will touch the mind of the genre. The title of the song is ‘Megh Tumi’. The song is written by Shoma Taheri and composed by Tanim Hayat. The music of the song is arranged by Ezaza Farha.
According to Priyanka, this song is one of the best songs of her musical career.
