Former police chief Benazir Ahmed’s duplex house, spread over 24 decimals in Narayanganj’s Rupganj, has been sealed off.
Acting on court instructions, a team from the Narayanganj district administration and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sealed the house at around 3:30 pm on Saturday.
Present at the time were Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mahmudul Huque, Additional DC Md Shafikur Rahman, Rupganj UNO Md Ahsan Mahmud Russel, ACC Deputy Director Mainul Hossain Raushani, and other local upazila administration and ACC officials.
A notice of confiscation has been posted at the main gate of the bungalow.
ACC Deputy Director Mainul Hossain Raushani confirmed the news.
Benazir Ahmed built the house in 2022, and he occasionally stayed there overnight.
