Chicken farms have been built in populated areas ignoring environmental policy.
Locals are unable to live in the nearby homesteads due to the strong stench of poultry farm waste. In this incident, the victims filed a written complaint with the UpazilaNirbahi Officer.
It is also reported that a written complaint has been given to Departmental Office (Bogra), District Office (Pabna), Upazila Animal Resources Office and Rapid Action Battalion RAB (12).
On Sunday (June 30) after receiving a written complaint, the officers of the Pabna district branch of the Department of Environment visited the poultry farm.
It is known that Arj Ali Sardar, a resident of Joynagar of IshwardiUpazila, has built a chicken farm named Sinha Poultry Farm in a populated area for 27 years, ignoring the environmental policy.
