The authorities of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) have disconnected the electricity connection of Kishoreganj railway station due to outstanding bills.
A PDB team disconnected the connection on Monday afternoon. Common passengers suffer in this. After evening the suffering became more extreme.
According to PDB’s distribution office said, Kishoreganj Railway Station has not paid the bill of Tk 12 lakh for one year. Despite being repeatedly told about this, they did not pay the bill citing cash crunch. Because of this, the officials and employees in charge of the electricity distribution department went and cut the line at Monday afternoon. It is disrupting the train service. Kishoreganj railway station and railway staff quarters are dark from afternoon to evening.
