Opener of Bangladesh Cricket team Soumya Sarkar said, ” I dream we shall play in the final of the T20 World Cup (WC).”
Soumya Sarkar was not praised for playing some superb innings rather than Soumya was criticized for playing some poor innings. He was criticized for his off-form. But when the dashing opener batted superbly, it was eye-catching and entertaining. But Soumya played notable innings seldom. Soumya was dismissed in the warm-up match against India before he opened his account.
Marking the ICC T20 World Cup, Soumya Sarkar said to an official video message through Facebook, which is released by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Soumya said, ” We can do well by our combined effort.
I always dream a big vision. I dream to play in the final of the T20 World Cup. If someone said he has a dream to play in the semi-final, I shall say we shall play in the final. I am not worried about our result. It is very important to dream a big vision.”
Soumya Sarkar played his first ICC ODI World Cup in 2015. He played T20 World Cup in 2016. Then, he took part in the T20 World Cup 2021 and T20 World Cup 2022.
He played ICC ODI World Cup 2019. Last year he could not get chance to play in the World Cup. It is Soumya Sarkar’s sixth World Cup including ICC T20 World Cup and ICC ODI World Cup.
Soumya Sarkar said, ” It is a pride to play in any World Cup. As a player it is a dream for him to play in World Cup. I want to memorable the T20 World Cup. I want to contribute something special to my team and also show a notable individual performance.”
The left-arm opener said, ” We have experienced Shakib bhai and Riyad bhai. If all experienced players and the promising players of our team can show a combined performance, We shall present a better brand of cricket in this tournament.”
