Geo-NGO to work together, says DG NGO Bureau

Director General of NGO Affairs Bureau (Grade-1) Md. Saidur Rahman said- ‘GEO-NGOs will work together in the fields of health, education, agriculture, women and children etc. to ensure overall development of the country. Hope today’s program of RDRS will be helpful in fulfilling that goal.
He said this as the chief guest at the MoU signing ceremony between RDRS Bangladesh and the people’s organizations ‘Union Federations’ formed with the support of RDRS in Rangpur on Friday, RDRS Auditorium.
Md. Mujibul Haque Munir, Head of Social Development Department of this organization, gave a welcome speech in this event held under the chairmanship of Tapan Kumar Karmakar, Executive Director of RDRS.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mobasher Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Habibul Hassan Rumi, Chairman of Barakhata Union Social Welfare Organization of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat Morjina Begum and Chairman of Harivasa Union Social Welfare Organization of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Solaiman Ali also spoke.
Rangpur Medical College Principal Professor Dr. Sarwar Jahan, former Principal Professor Dr. Zakir Hossain and Associate Professor of Medicine Department Dr. Apple.
President of the program Tapan Kumar Karmakar, Executive Director of RDRS said – RDRS formed the federations with the determination to develop each as an independent organization.
Today’s signing of the MoU between RDRS and the Federation proves that RDRS has fulfilled its mission.
Today’s event is a reminder that these two organizations can jointly undertake various development projects in the future.
Presidents, representatives of 14 union federations of Rangpur division and concerned senior officers of RDRS were present on the occasion.
