Bablu takes unofficial lead in Baraigram uz polls

Former Joint Secretary of Upazila Awami League Moazzem Hossain Bablu (Pineapple) has been unofficially elected as Chairman in Baraigram Upazila of Natore in the third phase of the 6th Upazila Parishad election by getting 40 thousand 247 votes.
His nearest rival Sudan Awami League President Anisur Rahman Biswas (Dowat Kalam) got 24 thousand 634 votes. Rezaul Karim Bhutto (Tala) won the post of Vice Chairman by getting 45 thousand 683 votes.
His nearest rival businessman Belal Hossain Patwari got 39 thousand 376 votes. Chameli Begum (Collos) was elected unofficially by getting 31 thousand 274 votes for the post of Female Vice Chairman. His closest rival Anjuara Begum (Duck) got 25 thousand 12 votes. Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous announced the election results in the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Wednesday night. The winning chairman and vice chairman in this election are new.
In this election, the polling process started from 8 am on Wednesday through ballot paper in a fair and peaceful environment and polling continued till 4 pm without interruption.There are 2 lakh 44 thousand 638 voters in this upazila.
