Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited made the record after scoring 392 runs for the loss of three wickets in 50 overs against Gulshan Youth Club in their match of the Women’s Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the BKSP Ground-3 in Savar on Thursday.
Mohammedan’s batters Murshida Khatun and Sobhana Mostary powered their team after hitting two tons.
Murshida Khatun hit 179 runs from 157 balls, which is now the highest individual score for any Bangladesh woman batter in the Women’s Dhaka Premier League Cricket. Sobhana Mostary hit 128 runs using 101 deliveries.
Earlier, BKSP scored 321 runs against Keraniganj Cricket Academy in the Women’s Premier League Cricket in the season of 2022-2023.
Chasing Mohammedan’s mammoth total, Gulshan Youth Club were bundled out for 141 runs and tasted a massive 251-run defeat.
Murshida Khatun and Sobhana Mostary put on together 257 runs in their partnership.
Murshida Khatun struck 23 fours and two sixes in her unbeaten innings, while Sobhana Mostary hit seven sixes and six fours.
Meanwhile, Rupali Bank defeated City Club by 10 wickets in the day’s other match at the BKSP Ground-4 on the same day.
