The North Lincolnshire Bangla Press Club (NLBPC) has emerged with the aim of providing news under North Lincolnshire Council of UK. For 2024-26 year, Channel S reporter Mohammad Shahidur Rahman Jamal was elected as its president, North Lincolnshire Channel 7 reporter Mohammad Abdullah Al Aziz as general secretary and ATN Bangla Television UK’s Scunthorpe reporter Enamul Alam as treasurer.
Elections were held in a festive atmosphere in a hall in Scunthorpe recently. The three candidates for the post of President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected through voting. A 15-member committee was formed by filling the remaining posts by consensus of all present.
Former Bangladesh Welfare Association Chairman Abdul Muhit Gazi served as Election Commissioner, former chairman of Bangladesh Welfare Association Jahangir Chowdhury, Chairman of Al Islam UK Nurul Haque Chowdhury, Scunthorpe Town Ward Conservative Councilor Candidate Anjum Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
