After tasting a five-wicket defeat to the United States of America (USA) in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) at Houston in Texas on Tuesday last, Bangladesh will face USA in the second T20I today at the same venue. The match will begin at 9.00pm. Private satellite channel Nagorik TV will telecast the match live.
The Tigers have to win today’s match, if they want to avoid the defeat of the three-match T20I series. On the other hand, if USA win today’s game, they will clinch the three-match series 2-0 remaining with one clash. The third T20I match will be held at the same venue on May 25.
After the first T20I match, Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Najmul Hossain Shanto said, ” We could not bat well. All the batters should bat well.. Specially top order batters of our team should perform well. We worked hard to improve our batting performance. I hope we shall fight back in the next match.” Shanto said, ” All of our batters have tried to present a better brand of batting display.
I want to play more balls and score more runs. Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah Riyad batted well.”
“We failed to take advantage in PowerPlay. We scored 34 runs in four overs and scored 37 runs in six overs.”
” There are lot of place where we could earn improvement.
The batters have to develop their skill. I hope they will come back in the ensuing ICC T20 World Cup’, he added.
