A few days ago, it was known that the National Film Award winning actress Dilara Hanif Purnima has become a member of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board. After she became a member, she spread the hype among her fans. Many people in the movie have congratulated her.
The main thing is that this new achievement of Purnima’s life as a success in her life has also made her proud and happy.
Meanwhile, May 15 was an unforgettable day in Purnima’s acting life. On this day in 1998, she made her Dhallywood debut as a heroine opposite Riaz in Zakir Hossain Raju’s movie ‘E Jibon Tomar Amar’. On this day again as a member of Bangladesh
Film Censor Board, Purnima expressed her opinion after watching a movie for the first time.
On May 15, in the afternoon, Purnima went to the office of the Censor Board located in ‘Chalachchitra Bhaban’ of Circuit House in the capital. Then she enjoyed
a movie till evening and then went back home.
Regarding the experience of the first day, Purnima told this correspondent, “Since May 15 was a memorable day for my film life, I started working as a member of the Censor Board on the same day. So, a different kind of love was working inside myself. After reaching the office, other members of the Censor Board welcomed me. Then we all enjoy a movie together. Other officers also arrived. After watching the movie, everyone was talking about the movie, everyone was praising it. I also liked the movie. Again we talked about the movie stuck in the Censor Board. What can be done to censor these movies is discussed in detail. Then I said goodbye to everyone and left. Overall good first day experience. Some of the responsibility of delivering good movies to Bengali cinema lovers is also on my shoulders. I want to
fulfill this responsibility properly.”
Meanwhile, Purnima has not started any new work so far. Apart from the children’s school works; she will now be busy as a member of the Censor Board.
Purnima informed that she is scheduled to finish shooting a song for the movie ‘Gungchil’ directed by Noim Imtiaz Neyamul soon. Both Ferdous and Purnima are supposed to give time for this song.
