Nazu Akhand, a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi music industry and one of its highest-paid performers, is returning to the judging panel at the National Cultural Fest-2024 which will be held at Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College in Dhaka.
Her role as a judge in the Islami Song (Single) category at last year’s National Cultural Fest-2023 was pivotal in enhancing the festival’s quality and appeal. Nazu’s profound understanding of music, particularly in the genre of Islami songs, enabled her to provide insightful evaluations of the performances. Born into a musical family, Nazu Akhand began her journey to stardom early, winning the National Award in 1995 as a child artist. Her notable contributions to the industry started with her debut in the film “Mayer Somman” in 2001, working with the renowned composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. Over the years, she has lent her voice to 223 playback songs for various films and released numerous music albums, firmly establishing herself as a stalwart of Bangladeshi music.
