A total of 45 police inspectors have been promoted to the posts of assistant police superintendent (ASP).
The Security Division of the home ministry issued three separate notifications signed by Deputy Secretary Mahabur Rahman Sheikh in this regard on Monday.
The lists of the police officers were published on the ministry’s website.
The promoted members will get BCS (Police) cadre status.
According to the notification, the promoted police officers include 22 inspectors (unarmed), 19 inspectors (armed) and 4 inspectors (city and vehicle).
