Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh shone with cherry as Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 78 runs in their match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai of India on Sunday.
Electing to bat first, Chennai Super Kings piled up a mammoth total of 212 for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then bundled out Sunrisers Hyderabad for 134 off 18.5 overs.
Tushar Deshpande of Chennai Super Kings captured four wickets in the space of 27 runs with a good support of Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana.
Mustafizur Rahman bagged two wickets instead of 19 runs in his 2.5 overs, while Matheesha Pathirana claimed two wickets at the cost of 17 runs in his two overs.
Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad hit a captain’s knock of 98. His 54-ball innings was studded with three sixes and 10 fours. Gaikwad was adjudged the Man of the Match.
It may be mentioned that Mustafizur Rahman captured 14 wickets playing eight matches in the ongoing IPL.
