The National Legal-Aid Day- 2024 was observed across the country on Sunday with a view to ensuring the rule of law, fundamental human rights and Justice for everyone. In Kishoreganj, District Legal-Aid Committee arranged a colourful rally, discussion, blood donation, Legal-Aid Mela and cultural function in befitting the manner.
This year theme is ‘Smart legal -Aid, Smart Desh, Bangabandhur Bangladesh ‘. A discussion meeting was held at CJM Court premises.
Acting District and Session Judge Md. Zannatul Ferdous Ebne Haque presided over the meeting. It was addressed among others by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Special Judge (Women & Children) Mohammad Habibullah, Police Super (SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar), BPM (Sheba), Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Al-Mamun, Special Judge (District Judge) Women and Children, District Bar Association president Advocate Shahidul, its general secretary advocate Aminul Islam Ratan, Public Prosecutor Advocate Abu Naser Farooq Sanju, former Bar President Bhupendra Bhowmick Dholon and District legal-Aid Officer Nasima Talukder Monmon.
A colourful rally was brought out in the town led by District Judge Mohammad. Md. Zannatul Ferdous Evne Haque, DC Md. Abul Kalam Azad, SP Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) BPM (Sheba)and CJM Al-Mamun.
District Judge Md.Zannatul Ferdous Evne Haque said that, one of the main goals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is to establish rule of law, fundamental rights Justice for all citizens.
