Clash over cultural function kills youth

Sr. Staff Reporter, Kishoreganj :

A young man named Sharif Uddin was killed in a clash between two parties during a song program organized on the occasion of Baisakhi Mela in Kishoreganj’s Pakundia on Thursday midnight.
At least 5 others were injured in this incident. The incident took place at Porabaria Mela Bazaar of Narandi Union of the upazila on Thursday midnight.
The deceased Sharif Uddin (28) son of Hossain Uddin of Kushakanda village of Pakundia upazila .The seriously Sukhia Uni Shahjahan’s son Azad Mia (28) of the same village is seriously injured in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and Suruj Mia (30) son Liton Mia and othwrs were admitted to local Government Hospital and private clinics.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Pakundia Police Station, Md. Asaduzzaman Tito confirmed this connection. Additional Police deployed. OC also said the legal action against those persons.
