Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) announced on Wednesday the 15-member Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for upcoming five-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
Sikandar Raza will lead the squad as the Captain of Zimbabwe squad against Bangladesh. The ZC has recalled experienced Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, pacer Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani.
It may be mentioned that ZC has included uncapped Johnathan Campbell. Johnathan Campbell is the son of former captain of Zimbabwe Cricket team Alistair Campbell.
Zimbabwe Cricket squad will arrive in Bangladesh on April 28 to play five T20I matches against Bangladesh team. Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the first T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on May 3.
Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in the second T20I at the same venue on May 5. Bangladesh will meet Zimbabwe in the third T20I at the same venue on May 7.
Then, Bangladesh squad and Zimbabwe squad will arrived in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Bangladesh will play against Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on May 10. Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the fifth and last T20I at the same venue on May 12.
Meanwhile, The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Tuesday last a seventeen-member T20I squad for the preparation camp marking the upcoming Zimbabwe series.
The BCB will select some cricketers for the Bangladesh squad, which will take part against Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe squad: Sikandar Raza (Captain), Faraz Akram, Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Johnathan Campbell, Craig Ervine, Joylord Gumbie, Luke Jongwe, Clive Madande, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Ainsley Ndlovu, Richard Ngarava and Sean Williams.
Zimbabwe squad will depart Dhaka for home on May 13.
