Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
National film award-winning singer Dilshad Nahar Kona last performed music at a stage show in Purbachal area of the capital on March 10. Stage shows are closed in all parts of the country due to the beginning of Ramadan. After Eid, artistes will be busy again in stage shows.
But even if there is no stage show, Kona has more related activities. Because she has to be busy throughout the year only with stage shows, not like that.
Basically Kona has to be very busy with singing new original songs, lending voice in jingles (songs used in advertisements), giving voice over (dialogues used in advertisements), and dubbing (giving voices to artistes) in advertisements.
Last Monday (March 18) was just such a busy day for singer Kona. On that day, she had to give voice over for two commercials, dubbing for two commercials, jingle and voice over for one commercial.
Kona has also voiced over two commercials for RFL Fresco Container, dubbing for the voices of Puja Cherry and Nusraat Faria in two different commercials for Pran Frooto and Pran Up. And she did jingle and voice over in Bengali for the Bangladeshi version of ‘Glow & Lovely’ advertisement.
Kona did not get tired of doing so many things in the same day. After completing these tasks, she rushed to Dhanmondi in the capital at night.
Kona is busy with work, work and work, this is not the case. She tried to maintain the societal matters.
Kona is the only one in the world of music who is currently busy in jingle, voice over and dubbing.
At one time, Sumona Haque was called the ‘Jingle Queen’ of Bangladesh. Now Kona has taken the position of Sumona Haque.
Kona told this correspondent, “My main identity is that I am a musician. In addition to this, I like jingle, voice over and dubbing. Because I like it, I really liked doing the work even after the pressure of many jobs last Monday. But when I give my voice in front of the microphone, that love is really different. Nothing else compares to this.”
