A young man was arrested with a foreign pistol in Ishwardi during the operation of RAB-12 Pabna. He was arrested from Bansherbada of Sahapur Union of the upazila late on Sunday (March 10). A (7.62 mm) foreign pistol, a magazine full of bullets, a mobile phone, two SIM cards and cash of Tk 185/- were recovered from him. Arrested Shahriar Azad Utsav (19) is the son of Azadur Rahman of Bansherbada Schoolpara area of Ishwardi Upazila.
RAB-12, CPC-2 Pabna Company Commander Major Ehteshamul Haque Khan said that the arrested Shahriar Azad Utsav had been showing illegal weapons and showing fear to the people of different parts of the country including his own area. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi police station Rafiqul Islam said that in this incident, RAB has filed a weapons case in the name of two people after showing one person as a fugitive. Shahriar Azad Utsav, arrested with weapons, was sent to the Pabna court on Monday.
