Entertainment Report :
Producer Shahriar Shakil sent lawyer notice against popular actor of the small screen, Ziaul Faruq Apurba alleging embezzlement. And as soon as the news about this is published, the entire industry can’t believe it, can’t accept it because everyone is well aware
of Apurba.
So from last Thursday on social media, especially on Facebook, many people, starting from artistes, directors have mentioned one thing about him, they are trying to highlight one thing about Apurba that the allegations brought against him are false and fabricated. Apurba is not the kind of person who will embezzle money from others. Although the matter is still under legal process but even then the people of the industry know well who is like in the industry.
Regarding talking about the charges brought against him, actor Apurba told this correspondent, “Time will make everything clear. Everyone in the industry knows me for a long time. I have never been with anyone else. I will do what is right, trust me. No one will be able to do wrong. All the allegations against me are false, fabricated, purposeful and defamatory. I am a well-known performer for a long time. An artist like me is being implicated in such a dirty allegation of embezzlement, which is very sad. I don’t want to say anything in detail about the matter at the moment because it went into a legal process. My organisation Actors’ Equity, Bangladesh is looking into the matter. Television and Digital Programme Producers’ Association of Bangladesh (TELEPAB) is also aware of the matter. They say whatever they say. At the same time my lawyer will speak. As I am proceeding with the legal process, I do not want to talk about it in detail at the moment. My lawyer said that if I talk about these things, the legal process may be obstructed. So, they will say what they say.”
It is noted that a complaint letter signed by Shahriar Karim Bhuiyan (Shahriar Shakil), Managing Director of Alpha-i, a production company, has been submitted to the offices of Actors Equity, Bangladesh and TELEPAB. This complaint was reported on March 11.
