Nineteen laptops were stolen from the school’s computer lab at Muladi Govt. Mahmudjan Secondary School in Muladi Sadar under Barishal district on early Sunday. In this incident, Sunday (March 10), the headmaster of the school Nasir Uddin Howladar filed a written complaint at Muladi Police Station as the plaintiff.
Muladi Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Zakaria confirmed the receipt of the written complaint.
OC Zakaria said that the incident could happen any time after the closing of the school on Thursday until Sunday morning, so the whole matter is being investigated. Attempts to identify the thief and recover the laptop are also underway. Also, the process of recording the written complaint given by the head teacher as a case is ongoing, the OC added.
The headmaster said that the miscreants entering in the lab sometime on early Sunday opening the locks of the three gates in a special manner and took 19 laptops.
Night watchman Zakir Hossain after saw the matter while opening the doors and windows of various offices of the school as usual on Sunday morning and informed the teachers.
