12 people honoured with Dhaka Cultural Organization’s ‘Success Award-2024’

Staff Reporter: The Dhaka Cultural Organization hosted the ‘Success Award-2024’ ceremony to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of individuals across various sectors, including film, music, journalism, and business.

Former Army Chief Lieutenant General (Retd) Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid inaugurated the programme on Tuesday night (March 5) by presenting the lifetime achievement award to noted film actress Anjana Sultana, recognising her contribution to the Bangladesh film industry.

UNB’s Special Correspondent Muhammed Abdur Rahman Jahangir was honoured as one of the recipients of the ‘Success Award-2024’ for his significant contributions to journalism in Bangladesh spanning nearly two decades. He was presented the award by actress Anjana Sultana and popular film actor Joy Chowdhury.

Other distinguished recipients included film actress Mahiya Mahi, film actor Joy Chowdhury, TV actress Runa Khan, model Tuhin Chowdhury, model Nahar Kona, singer Rayhan Sultana Niha, businessman and Asain TV chairman Haroon-or Rashid, organiser Habibur Rahman Habib Memorial Trust vice-chairman Saifur Rahman and social worker Milton Khan.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Pirzada Shahidul Harun, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Mr Al Amin, Green Sonar Bangla City Chairman Anwar Hossain, Dhaka Cultural Organization’s Founder President Shafikul Islam Raju, and its Adviser Anwar Hossain, among others, spoke at the programme.

During the programme, speakers expressed their gratitude to the organisers for recognising and honouring the talented individuals, including actors, who have made substantial contributions to the cultural landscape of Bangladesh.

The ‘Success Award-2024’ ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals who have significantly enriched Bangladesh’s art, cultural and media industries and the business sector.
