Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen said that if any patient dies due to wrong treatment and doctor’s negligence, the hospital-clinic will be closed with strict action against those responsible.
He said that the work has started under the direction of the Prime Minister with the aim that the people of remote areas of the country get medical care at home and do not suffer any kind of embarrassment or harassment when they come to the hospital for treatment and to radically change the quality of medical care in the country by any means. On Monday, he visited various service institutions and units of the Kumudini Complex, including Shaheed Danbir Ranada Prasad Sahar Kumudini Hospital, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Kumudini Nursing College, Bharateshari Homes, established in the service of the martyr Danbir Ranada Prasad Sahar in Mirzapur, Tangail, and said these things to meet the query of journalists.
When Health Minister Samant Lal Sen and his wife arrived at Kumudini complex, Kumudini family, Tangail district and Mirzapur upazila administration gave them floral greetings. After the tea ceremony at the Kumudini Hospital Library Auditorium, the Minister visited various service units of Kumudini Complex including Kumudini Hospital, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Kumudini Nursing College, Bharateshari Homes.
Before visiting the complex, the minister told reporters, I met the Prime Minister the day before yesterday. He said, along with increasing the quality of medical services in the country, he has given strict instructions to ensure that the people of the country get medical care at home. The minister said, I have just come from Trinamul village. I know where there are problems in medical care. The country’s upazila government health complex and district headquarter hospitals should be made self-supporting. All of us, including the doctors, must work together in unity so that the people of the village do not come to the city for treatment. Government services should be spread along with increasing the quality of medical services. He mentioned that urgent steps will be taken to ensure that the students of various schools and colleges are not harassed to get corona vaccination.
