The main opposition BNP co-organizing secretary, also district president of Kishoreganj, Shariful Alam has been released from Kashimpur Central Jail on bail on Friday night. Shariful’s lawyer Fazlur Rahman confirmed the matter.
The Supreme Court senior advocate Fazlur Rahman said that on Thursday, Justice ordered interim bail for three months. High Court Division Bench consisting of Justice Ruhul Qudduch and Justice AKM Rabiul Hasan. Shariful Alam has been granted bail in two cases in Kishoreganj, two in Bhairab and two in Dhaka.
Lawyer Umme Kulsoom Begum Rekha participated in the bail hearing with Fazlur Rahman. Deputy Attorney General Shaheen Ahmed Khan opposed the bail. Senior Advocate Fazlur Rahman also said that Shariful Alam was arrested from Bhairab in Kishoreganj on November 4 last year. There are a total of 36 cases in his name in different police stations of Kishoreganj and Dhaka.
