Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh Iwama Kiminori made a courtesy call on State Minister for commerce Ahasanul Islam Titu at his office on Monday.
During the meeting, the state minster mentioned the Prime minister’s announcement “Handicraft” as product of the year.
He said that the “Government is working to increase employment opportunities and also to boost exportable products through ‘One village One product program’ “We expect Japan’s cooperation and share its experience to make this program successful.” Titu said.
The Ambassador lauded the program and expressed his country’s cooperation, saying Japan wants to strengthen relations with Bangladesh. Japan is interested to working as a partner in the development of Bangladesh.
“We hope Bangladesh will participate in the world expo 2025 to be held in Japan next year.”
Mentioning the friendly relations between Japan and Bangladesh, the state minister said that Japan is Bangladesh’s development partner.
“We look forward all sorts of cooperation in expending trade and commerce between the two friendly countries.
