Ishwardi Upazila and Municipal Chhatra League have started an operation to clean the waste pile left by the municipality for a long time at the entrance of Ishwardi. It is reported that BCL leaders and activists started this cleaning campaign on Saturday on the instructions of Pabna-4 Constituency MP Ghalibur Rahman Sharif.
Newly elected MP Ghalibur Rahman Sharif led the campaign. Upazila Jubo League President Shirhan Sharif Tamal was in overall supervision.
Acting Chairman of Upazila Parishad Abdus Salam Khan, Municipal Mayor Ishak Ali Malitha, Upazila Chhatra League President Mallik Milan Mahmud Tanmoy, Municipal Chhatra League President Abir Hasan Ashaman and a large number of Chhatra League leaders and activists were present on the occasion.
Chhatra League president Mallik Milan Mahmud Tanmoy said that the municipal authorities have been accumulating all the waste and garbage of the city at the entrance of Ishwardi city for a long time.
