The Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday formed a three-member investigation committee to probe into vandalism and arson at Jaintapur Upazila Health Complex in Sylhet.
As per office order, the committee headed by DGHS Director (Administration) Prof Dr. Md Shamiul Islam will visit the upazila health complex.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Md Salauddin Mia confirmed the matter.
Earlier, Dr. Salauddin filed a case against 300 Chhatra League leaders and activists in connection with the vandalism of the health complex after the death of four activists of the organization following a road accident in Jaintapur on Saturday night.
Tajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jaintapur police station, said the case was filed against 250 to 300 unnamed individuals in connection with the vandalism of the health complex and the burning of cars.
