Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad (GM) Quader said that the government has completely failed to control the prices of daily commodities.
Quader, also a former commerce minister, made this comment in Rangpur while talking with traders at the office of City Bazaar Traders Committee in Rangpur on Sunday (January 21).
Japa chairman said, I was the commerce minister. I know how to control the prices of daily commodities. I was able to bring it under control. But the current government cannot.
He said, there is no shortage of rice in the country. Even there is a plenty of stock. But the price of paddy and rice is increasing day by day.
There is no justification for increasing the price. The prices are increasing unreasonably, GM Quader said.
A section of people are doing it for profit. The government needs to look into this.
