Director Manik urges Shabnur not to act any ‘worthless’ movie

Dallywood heroine Shabnur announced two new movies after returning from Australia recently. The two movies are ‘Rongona’ and ‘Matal Hawa’. Shabnur’s first look
in the movie ‘Rongona’ has already been revealed. After the release of
the poster of ‘Rongona’, there were positive comments from the
netizens, as well as negative
comments. A section of fans do not want Shabnur to act in this movie.
On the other hand, this actress
participated in the rehearsal of the movie ‘Matal Hawa’. Mahfuz Ahmed will be seen opposite Shabnur in
the movie ‘Matal Hawa’ directed by Chayanika Chowdhury.
Besides, the director of the movie Mostafizur Rahman Manik has announced the making of the sequel of the movie ‘Dui Noyoner Alo’ about Shabnur long ago. He even wants
to make Shabnur’s biopic. In 2005, Shabnur got the National Film Award for acting in Mostafizur Rahman Manik’s movie ‘Dui Noyoner Alo’. National Film Award winning director Mostafizur Rahman Manik urged the actress to return to the silver screen and not to act in the movie ‘Rongona’. But not as a director, but
as a fan of Shabanur, he said.
Like other Shabnur’s fans, director Manik wants the actress not to
act in any ‘worthless’ movie.
According to director Manik, Shabnur should be careful in her choice of movies even if his ‘Dui Noyoner Alo 2’ cinema is left out.
Manik’s opinion is that Shabnur is going to be regular in acting after a long time. “If you make a mistake now, the fans will turn away from the heroine. It’s not 1924, it’s 2024,” the director told Shabnur.
Manik also gave a post on Facebook in this regard. He wrote: “The way everyone’s favourite actress Shabnur has been trolled based on a poster in the last few days seems like never before in her
acting career of so many years. As a Shabnur’s fan, this is hard to accept. Shabnur’s fans themselves called for a boycott. However, in this age of trolls, if Shabnur has to do
a movie again, he should at least do it wisely.”
He also wrote, “I believe many
talented and popular directors are interested in working with her (Shabnur). Chayanika Chowdhury, Raihan Rafi, Niamul Mukta, Bulbul Biswas have already shown their interests in working with her. Some told me to work with her myself.
I think she should make a royal comeback with these directors
after getting herself fitter and
taking more time.”
Manik added, “What is being said about Chayanika Didi’s ‘Matal Hawa’ can be Shabnur’s ‘Proper Comeback’. She should wait for it. There is absolutely no chance to experiment at this time. It must be remembered that it is 1924, it is 2024. The efforts of famous directors, producers, storytellers, DoPs, and even innumerable spot-boys have been developed by combining strong acting skills made today’s image of Shabnur. Because
of the incompetence of some people, the attempt to go viral, and Shabnur’s own eccentricities, this image, this popularity, this idol, be destroyed – countless Shabnur’s fans scattered all over the world, including me, would never want that.”
At the end, director Manik wrote, “Reject my movie if necessary, but please don’t give someone a chance to finish your image. Say nothing if a stupid incompetent make-up man is your advisor. No problem if you love them personally. But in terms of your own career, reject them, if necessary, reject me too. I gave this post without being able to say these words to
you personally. I hope you don’t misunderstand me.”
