Shabnur returns to silver screen after long break

Dhallywood’s versatile and sensational actress Shabnur is making a return with the eagerly anticipated thriller story based movie titled ‘Rangana’.
Though the actress has initially slated to return with the movie titled ‘Matal Hawa’, but later she has changed her decision.
The movie ‘Rangana’ is set to be released in 2024 showcases a fresh perspective with a female-centric storyline.
Arafat Hossain, a debutant director with a background in assisting on various film projects and crafting dramas for the small screen, is set to make his mark with ‘Rangana’.
Shabnur will grace the screen for the first time under Arafat’s direction promising audiences a novel cinematic experience.
Director Arafat Hossain, enthusiastic about working with Shabnur and shared insights into the movie.
He told media, “The movie ‘Rangana’ will investigate into a thrilling narrative and Shabnur’s presence was a deliberate choice.
Despite her numerous romantic roles, this movie takes a different trajectory with a focus on her character.
Production is scheduled to commence in 2024 and we aim to wrap up filming swiftly for an Eid release.”
Regarding talking about her involvement in the movie ‘Rangana’, Shabnur shared her feelings by this way, “I was presented with the script for ‘Rangana’ seven months ago while I was in Australia and I immediately agreed.
The enchanting songs, crafted by the talented Kabir Bakul, captivated me.”
“I am preparing myself for this unique role and I hope the audience will witness something extraordinary,” she also said.
The movie ‘Rangana’ will feature three songs; all penned by the nationally acclaimed lyricist Kabir Bakul.
Imran Mahmudul, a popular singer, will lend his voice and contribute to the composition and arrangement of two songs.
Director Arafat Hossain has crafted the storyline with Tanmoy Muktadir taking charge of the screenplay and dialogue.
Amidst the buzz surrounding ‘Rangana’, Shabnur has also joined the cast of another movie ‘Matal Hawa’ where she will share the screen with Mahfuz Ahmed.
The reunion of this iconic pair, Shabnur and Mahfuz Ahmed, after an extended break, is under the direction of Chayanika Chowdhury adding an extra layer of excitement to the cinematic landscape.
