Swani Zubayeer’s memory talk today in two decades of album ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’

The most popular single album of Swani Zubayeer, who is a popular singer in Bangladesh and especially skilled in music, titled ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ was released by World Music in 2003. The album was released in cassette format during that time. Some of the songs
rendered by him in this album were well received by the
audience such as ‘Aj Aamar Mon Bhalo Nei’, ‘Shudhu Shokher Jonnyo’, ‘Sohoj Chokhe’, ‘Ekti Chawai Khub Kore Chai’,
‘Ore Hridoy’, ‘Raat er Tarar
Moto Ekdin Nirobe Ondhokare Jabo Jhore’.
After that several more albums were released. However, among all the albums released by Swami Zubayeer, the songs of ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ album have received more audience.
Two decades after the release of the album, the strong interest of the audience in the songs surprises and fascinates Swani Zubayeer. Therefore, on the occasion of the completion of two decades of the album ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’, Swami Zubair organized a memoir of this album today at 5:30pm at the Room No 803 at Biswa Sahiyta Kendra in the capital’s Bangla Motor area.
While talking about today’s programme, Swani Zubayeer told this correspondent, “The songs of ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ album, mixed with classical Bengali modern songs, touched the hearts of the audience and became their favourite. And even after two decades, the audience’s interest in these songs amazes and fascinates me. I am really impressed with this. This programme is going to be organised memoirs around period of my album ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ and its subsequent period i.e. the past two decades of that album living in everyone’s mind. I hope that those who wish to attend this homely event will definitely be present.”
“The album ‘Nirjon Shakkhor’ was another achievement in my musical life. I still have a lot of emotions, a lot of love around this album. Let’s all dive into the past for a while in today’s memoirs,” Swani Zubayeer also said.
Swami Zubair is also a singer and music director.
He was awarded the National Film Award for his work as music director in the movie ‘Anil Bagchir Ekdin’ directed by Morshedul Islam.
Swami Zubayeer is one such musician who is exclusively trained in South Asia’s only high school of Indian classical music and completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Western Classical Music Composting Department. In 2002, he was awarded the international award, ‘Germans Public House’ as ‘Composer of the Year’, which was a matter of pride for Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Swami Zubayeer worked as a music director for Akram Khan’s movie ‘Ghasphool’, Morshedul Islam’s movie ‘Ankhi O Tar Bondhura’ and Aka Reza Galib’s movie ‘Kaler Putul’.
His last solo album was ‘Chander Sorobore’.
