Guru-disciple renders song on same occasion

Guru-disciple country’s
prominent musician Shafi Mondol Baul and artiste of this generation Beauty
rendered song for BTV’s Lalon Geeti based programme titled ‘Achin Pakhi’. Shafi Mondol and Beauty took part in the recording of this programme last week of November.
Shafi Mondol said that he rendered the song titled ‘Manush Obiswase Paina Manush Nidhi’. On the other hand, Beauty said that she sang the song titled ‘Jaat Gelo Jaat Gelo Bole’.
While talking in this regard, Shafi Mondol told this correspondent, “Beauty is my very love and affection. Although Beauty has long called me Guru, but I am not directly Guru. But now Beauty is taking music lessons from me. Beauty and I sang together at the same event. I have rendered the song ‘Manush Obiswase Paina Manush Nidhi’. But BTV has changed a lot. BTV has been very modern. That’s why I like to work now. I really enjoyed participating in this programme. I hope the audience will like it.”
Regarding talking about Shafi Mondol, singer Beauty told this correspondent, “I have sung on the same stage with Guruji (Shafi Mondol) long before I came to ‘Close Up 1’. Twice a year in Lalon Utsob (festival) in Kushtia met with him. We used to sing on the same stage. Since then I accept him as Guru. Later, after I started working in full swing in the music arena, I got the opportunity to work with him more. Guruji loves me very much. I was lucky that I got his companionship in that childhood. It is a great blessing to my life. Although I did not take music training directly from him, but now I have training from him. Today I am also saying that he does not take any honorarium for training me. It is a blessing for me. I have deep respect and love for Guruji. I have my sincere gratitude to everyone associated with ‘Achin Pakhi’ programme.”
Meanwhile, Beauty said that her new song titled ‘Mon Kande’ was released on YouTube on a Friday at the end of last month.
Manarul Haque Basit wrote lyrics of the song, while Ronok Raihan has composed its music.
Beauty also said that she had several consecutive shows outside the country with Shafi Mondol. But it was canceled as winter came.
There were Beauty’s some stage shows in the country. But due to strike and blockade those shows are being cancelled one after another.
