Nominations of 32 candidates void in 16 constituencies of Ctg

Chattogsram Bureau :

The returning officer has canceled the nomination of 32 candidates of 16 constituencies of Chattogram on various charges including voter information mismatch, service agency bill arrears, non-filing of income tax returns and loan defaults. Among them, 19 are independent and 13 are candidates from different parties.

The nominations of the remaining 116 people have been validated. On Monday (December 4) and Sunday (December 3), the nominations of these candidates were cancelled. Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Tofail Islam of 6 seats and Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman served as returning officer of 10 seats.

Chittagong-4 (Sitakunda), Chittagong-5 (Hathajari) and Chittagong-8 (Chittagong Metro Part-Boalkhali), Chittagong-9 (Kotyali), Chittagong-10 (Halishahar, Pahartali) in Chattogram Divisional Commission Office in two days. Doublemooring, Khulshi) Chittagong-11 (Port) constituency nominations are verified.

Besides, the district administration offices Chittagong-1 (Meersrai), Chittagong-2 (Fatikchari), Chittagong-3 (Sandwip), Chittagong-6 (Raujan), Chittagong-7 (Rangunia), Chittagong-12 (Patia), Chittagong-13 ( Anwara), Chittagong-14 (Chandnaish), Chittagong-15 (Satkania-Lohagara) and Chittagong-16 (Banskhali) constituencies were verified.
