Nisa crosses silver jubilee in acting

Sabrina Shafi Nisa is a dancer and actress. However, for the past nine years, she has been working as a dance instructor at Bangladesh Shishu Academy. She is not able to give time to acting now because her daughter Insiya is only five years old. She has to spend more time to her daughter now. That’s why Nisa wants to give all the time to the family and her daughter outside of the time she spends in Shishu Academy. That’s why Nisa is
not able to act now even if she gets offers
for good stories based works.
In 1990, at the age of four, Nisa began her
dance training at the Bulbul Lalitkala Academy. After that, she excelled herself in dancing at
various times with Sohel Rahman, Anisul Islam Hero and Kitabirul Islam Ratan.
In 1995, Nisa danced professionally for the first time on BTV. In 1997, she first acted in Humayun Ahmed’s 12-episode serial titled ‘Sabuj Sathi’.
By acting in this serial aired on BTV,
she came into discussion.
After that she acted in many more dramas. The only movie Nisa starred in was ‘Daruchini Dwip’ directed by Tauquir Ahmed. After that, she did not get a chance to work in any other movie. However, there is a strong interest in acting in her movies.
Nisa last acted in the popular drama serial titled ‘Maan Obhimaan’ aired on Deepto TV. This series
has already finished broadcasting on this TV
channel. Nisa is not working on any new
drama for now, according to her.
Nisa’s birthday was last November 28. While
talking about her position today after passing the silver jubilee of her acting career, Nisa told this
correspondent, “Both dancing and acting are my favourite places. In fact, I have my love for dance since childhood. But I was lucky that I got
Humayun Ahmed Sir at the beginning of my
acting career. I got the chance to work in his
serial. This is really a great achievement of my life. I acted in one movie in my life. That was too under the direction of Tauquir Bhai. It is no less important to me. I am thankful to my Bulbul Lalitkala Academy, to every person involved in every work including my dance guru (mentor). Right now my everything revolves around my daughter Insiya.
I want to make her childhood colourful and
memorable. So for now I am away from acting. Everyone please pray for me, my family.”
