12 hurt as bus falls into ditch in Manikganj

UNB, Manikganj :

At least 12 passengers were injured as a bus fell into a ditch in Manikganj’s Saturia upazila on Friday.

This accident occurred around 12pm on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Dotra area of the upazila.

Sukendu Basu, officer-in-charge (OC) of Golra Highway Police Station, said the Paturia-bound bus of Padma Line lost control and fell into a ditch leaving 12 passengers injured.

Of the injured, Al Amin Hossain and Sajag, students of North Pacific International University of Bangladesh (NPIUB), were admitted to Savar Gonoshasthaya Kendra. “Eight of the injured were treated at Manikganj District Hospital.”

A case was filed in Saturia police station in this regard, added the officer.
