24-hour ultimatum to Tanjin Tisha to apologise

Entertainment journalists protested against TV actress Tanjin Tisha’s unprofessional behaviour and speech against journalists in front of the SAARC Fountain at Karwan Bazar in the capital around 2:30pm on Tuesday.

Journalists of various daily newspapers, online portals, television and radio entertainment department participated in this rally.

In the rally, Tanjin Tisha asked the DB office to withdraw the allegations made against journalist Mazharul Islam Tamim and journalists have given a 24-hour ultimatum to apologise.

The relevant incident started with the publication of the news of Tanjin Tisha’s ‘suicide attempt’.

After the unconscious Tisha was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on the night of November 15, this news was published in various media.

The actress Tanjin Tisha went to the DB office on November 20 and filed a complaint of cyber-bullying against Channel 24 journalist Mazharul Islam Tamim.

Earlier, Tisha threatened to ‘blow up’ the journalists, and apologised for it on social media, although she later deleted the apology post.
