A total of 181 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces were deployed across the country, including 33 in the capital city and adjacent districts, to maintain law and order situation.
BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to the media on Wednesday morning.
Besides, an adequate number of BGB personnel were kept on standby to promptly respond to any emergency situation in the country.
Amid the ongoing workers’ unrest in the garments sector, BGB personnel were also deployed in Dhaka and adjacent areas to ensure security.
