Shilpi was a popular heroine of Bangladesh in the nineties. She is easily known as the late Salman Shah’s heroine.
She rose to fame by starring opposite late Salman Shah in the film ‘Priyojon’, directed
by Rana Nasir and written
by Mohammad Hossain, on the story of Zaman Akhtar. The movie also featured Riaz as a debutant hero.
The popular actress Shilpi has not been in the movies for many years. That is, she is not acting. But she has regular contact with everyone in the cinema. Her great heart can be said with everyone – especially her friendly relationship with those who started their journey in cinema in the nineties.
To talk and chat along with those friends and several others, Shilpi arranged a programme at a city hotel in Gulshan area on November 11.
Bapparaj, Naim, Shabnaz, Omar Sani, Amin Khan, Misha Sawdagor, Ankhi Alamgir, Dithi Anwar, Samrat and director Gazi Mahbub were present there at her invitation.
They reminisced about the days of the late nineties in this story chat. The story brought up the contribution of legends like Razzak, Gazi Mazharul Anwar, Alamgir, Shabana in the cinema of Bangladesh.
Besides, everyone remembered their mentors in the cinema respectfully in the discussion.
